Obituary of Thomas G. Cryblskey

Cryblskey, Thomas G. Essexville, MI Tom passed Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region after a lengthy illness. He was born in Canonsburg PA on September 24, 1947 to the late Harry and Dorothy (Bondy) Cryblskey. He moved with his family to Tawas Michigan in 1960 and graduated from Tawas Area High School in 1965. He joined the U. S. Army in 1966 and served his time in Korea, returning to Tawas in 1969. He married Susan Davenport on October 2, 1971 and she survives him. Tom worked his whole career in the lumber industry, beginning with Schreck Lumber in Tawas and ending it at Carter Lumber in Bay City. Tom loved hunting, fishing, and introducing his grandchildren to it. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He was a good husband, father, and friend. Everyone who was touched by his life knew him to be a good man, a man of integrity, a man of honesty, a man of his word, and a man who loved his family. He is survived by his wife Susan; son, Alan (Jennifer) Cryblskey of San Antonio TX; daughter, Julie (Neil) Davis of Bay City MI; grandchildren, Mathias and Lorelei Cryblskey and Lydia and Aron Davis; brothers, Ret. Col. Harry (Lynn) Cryblskey of Manassas VA & Paul E. Scott of Kalamazoo MI; sister Beth (Mike Hamp) Scott of Manassas VA; brothers in law, John (Lorraine) Davenport and Grant (Doris) Robinson; sister in law, Margaret Davenport and Rose Davenport; many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10 A.M. at St Jude Thaddeus Parish, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 614 Pine St., Essexville Michigan, with Fr. Dale Orlik officiating. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service, beginning at 9 A.M.. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Thaddeus or the charity of the donor's choice.
