Obituary of Robert "Bob" Alan Seaver

Seaver, Robert "Bob" Alan Thomas Twp., Michigan. Bob, our beloved father, grandfather and friend, age 71, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center. Bob was born in Saginaw on November 24, 1943 to the late LeRoy and Doris (Aspin) Seaver. He married the love of his life, Saundra Ann Thayer, on April 23, 1966, and she predeceased him March 14, 2009. Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1968. He was employed by Eaton Corporation for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. He played euchre and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Bob loved his family, friends and pet cat Charlie. Surviving are two sons, Kevin (Tami) Seaver of Manton and Mark (Laura) Seaver of Saginaw; four grandchildren, David (Brandy) Hilton, Kole Hilton, Joe Seaver and Lexie Seaver; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (Betty) Seaver and Jim (Sharon) Seaver; a host of loving relatives, and many great friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his daughter, Bridgette Seaver and a brother, Dale Seaver. A Life Celebration Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, Freeland MI, with Pastor Rob Schmidt officiating. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service from 3 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Zion Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
