McDonald, Netta A. Essexville, Michigan formerly of Gladwin & Midland Mrs. McDonald, age 90, was called home to rest by her Heavenly Father on Sunday July 5, 2015. Netta was born in Hazel Park, Michigan on October 9, 1924 to the late Charles & Ella Keyser. Netta enjoyed crocheting, bingo, reading, teaching ceramic's and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Midland Sweet Adeline's vocal group. Netta is survived by her daughter Darlene K. Ropp of Essexville, her 2 sons; Douglas (Pamela) McDonald of Greenville, Texas, and Darry (Vicky) McDonald of Yantis, Texas. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George McDonald, her son Richard Lee McDonald, granddaughter; Carrie Sue McDonald, son in law Robert Ropp , 3 sisters and 2 brothers. A memorial service celebrating Netta's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday July 25, 2015 at Fremont United Methodist Church, 510 Fremont Street, Bay City. Reverend Sue Platt will officiate. Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Fremont United Methodist Church.
