Obituary of Donald "Joe" J. Parliament
Donald Joseph Parliament (Joe) of Sanford , born August 6, 1930, formally of West Branch, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 13, 2015.
Joe married his loving wife Joyce on September 25, 1954 and together worked a farm near Rose City for many years. He retired from the Ogemaw County Road Commission in 1993. For 18 years they enjoyed a home in Florida. They also traveled over much of the United States.
They had 4 children: Bruce (Judy) of Bellaire, MI and their children Nathan (Kelly) with great-grandson Benjamin , Curtis and Brittany. Brenda (Jim) Greenland of Jackson, MI and their children Eric (Nicole) with great-grandson Henry and Courtney. Lynn (Floyd) Berus of Jacksonville, Fl. and their children Monica (Geoffrey) Uhal and Kent (Audrey). Cindy (Marv) Gorney of Auburn, MI. and their children Ryan and Jared.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Lucie Parliament, sisters Beulah, Mary and Inez, brothers Loren and Johnny. His is survived by his brother Burt of Flint and sister-in-law Charlotte of St. Charles, MI. as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the many supportive Doctors, nurses, Hospice staff, friends and neighbors for their loving care and compassion.
In fulfillment of his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to MidMichigan Hospice
