Obituary of Thomas A. Federico

Federico, Thomas Saginaw, MI Mr. Thomas A. Federico passed away on August 15, 2015 at home after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness in Saginaw, MI at the age of 74. The son of the late Anthony and Helen (Pellettier) Federico, Tom was born November 10th, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Karen Miller, his loving wife of 52 years, on October 27th, 1962. She survives him. Tom was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear for 34 years. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Tom loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his seven grandchildren. Besides attending his grandchildren's school and sporting events, Tom also enjoyed socializing with his family and friends at Wendy's, bus trips to the casino, and trying his luck with radio contests. Surviving besides his wife Karen are two sons and one daughter and their spouses, Mark and Gretchen Federico, Chris and Shauna Federico, and Kelly and Philip Brefka, all from Saginaw; seven grandchildren, Jordyn and Haley Brefka, Reece and Taylor Federico, Andon and Keagan Federico, and Arianna Letherer; one sister, Joan Turek; four brothers, Robert, James, Lawrence (Marilyn) and Dann Federico; two sister-in-laws, Mary Federico and Patricia Miller, one brother-in-law, Steve (Tammy) Miller, and a special aunt, Jean Pellettier; many dear friends that included Dick and Joanne Gotham and Glen and Carol Revord and a very kind and caring neighbor, Reggie Call. Tom was preceded in death by his brothers Donald and Gerald Federico; his sister, Patricia Dupuis; his brother-in-laws, Tony Turek, Tom Dupuis and Roy Miller and his sisters-in-law, Edith Federico and Rena Federico. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas, 5380 State St. on Wednesday, August 19, with mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Wishes of the Family.
