Obituary of Duane and Barbara Becker

Barbara Jean Becker (Finner) – June 19, 1933 – Sept. 4, 2015 Duane Earl Becker, Sr. – June 25, 1928 – Nov. 4, 2015 Our beloved father and grandfather proved that it is truly possible to die of a broken heart. His wife of sixty years, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at her home after a lengthy illness on Sept. 4th. Exactly two months later, almost to the minute, Dad gently slipped away from us and joined Mom in heaven where they will be together for eternity. We will miss their love for family and quirky sense of humor and we look forward to being with them again someday. Barb passed away September 4, 2015 at the age of 82. She was born in Saginaw Michigan to the late Charles and Alvina (Finner) Terrian, and was raised by her late grandparents, Walter and Mary Agnes Rodrick and a special cousin, the late Frederick Arnhold. She was employed during her life by The Saginaw News, Tepe's in Saginaw and Art Sample Furniture. Duane passed away November 4, 2015 at the age of 87. He was born in Saginaw to the late Charles Earl and Lillian (Owen) Becker. He married Barbara August 12, 1955 and had recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. He served in the U. S. Army receiving an Honorable Discharge in December 1961. He was retired from U.S.Graphite. Barb and Duane were members of First Presbyterian Church in Saginaw and enjoyed playing cards, going to garage sales, spending time with family and talking politics. Together they shared a great love for animals that has passed down to their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Over the years they had many pets that they adored and missed deeply when they passed on.
