Alfred Henry Craner, 89, of Bay City, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region surrounded by his loving family. Alfred was born July 2, 1926 in Omer to the late Alfred L. and Janette (DePeal) Craner. Alfred loved hunting, fishing, traveling, looking for beautiful stones and watching Western movies. He was very musically gifted.
Surviving is his girlfriend, Delores Paulson; his 5 children, Linda Minnick (Peter Huff), Gloria (Tim) Lagan, Alfred James (Ruby) Craner, Donald Craner, Grace (Alan) Samp; numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great- great- grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Janet Craner; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Craner was preceded in death by his 9 siblings; 6 sisters, Alma McGirr, Elizabeth Rasmussen, Florence Martinez, Martha Smalley, Marie Luebben, Margaret Cramer; 3 brothers, Amos "Dickie" Craner, Louis Craner, and Richard Craner.
