Obituary of Arthur "Art" Briggs

Briggs, Arthur "Art" Bay City, MI Mr. Briggs, age 63, passed away November 24, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. He was born April 2, 1952 to the late Elizna and Elden "Sam" Briggs in West Branch Michigan. He grew up on a dairy farm in the Twining area. He graduated from Whittemore Prescott High School in 1970. After graduating, he moved to Bay City where years later, he met and married his wife Jeannie in 1979. He was a salesman for 38 years, retiring from Michigan Beauty Supply in 2012. He loved going up to the family farm and putzing around. He liked to have large bonfires and to just sit around the fire. Most of all, he loved his family. He was a great husband, father, grandfather. He was all of our best friends. He was a funny man who loved to make people laugh and could talk your ear off. He was our world and will be truly missed. He was one of a kind and the world has lost a great man. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jeannie Briggs; daughters, Melissa (Kyle) Behrmann and Shelby Briggs; grandchildren, Garen & Mason Behrmann; sisters, Joyce (Terry) Belleville, Sally (Larry) Carisiles; and many nieces and nephews.
