Sharon Bush

Obituary of Sharon A. Bush

Bush, Sharon Ann (Abke) Saginaw, MI Sharon Bush was born February 13, 1953. She was a force of inspiration for all whom knew her, and she died peacefully, encircled by her loving family in the Bert Bullington Cardiac Critical Care unit of Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan on January 29, 2016 at the age of 62. Sharon demonstrated incomprehensible strength and grace throughout her complicated 30 year journey of cancer survival. Sharon was loyal to those she loved. She was a devoted friend who always made time to listen and often returned honest unbiased advice. She was passionate about life and possessed a will to live that amazed everyone, especially those who knew the severity of her medical conditions. She attained many accomplishments during her nearly 63 years such as being one of the first female union construction laborers in the state who was involved in the building of the Zilwaukee Bridge, but none she was more proud of than the accomplishments of her children and their friends whom she loved like her own. Sharon had unrivaled enthusiasm for everything related to her family, especially any type of sporting event ranging from Saginaw City League Men's Basketball in the 1970s to weekly softball at Ojibway Island in the 1970s and 1980s, and Jonny's varied basketball experiences as he grew through adolescence into adulthood. Sharon was an incredibly dynamic person who had the ability to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere. She made friends easily and often. She was unbiased in the way she related to other people, always open to new ideas and myriad interpretations. Sharon was a communicator who didn't hold back her love for people and life by freely expressing herself in a variety of ways, especially through the magic of her dancing. In the words of one of her dearest friends: "Nobody on the planet could dance as well as Sharon could. There may be better professional dancers, but none who could cut a rug so uniquely with a style of 'rock – n – roll' ballet that stood alone." She is survived by her lovingly devoted husband John David Bush; their children, Jonathan Francis Bush and Brice Morningstar Bush; brothers-in-law George C. Bush and James C. Bush; sisters-in-law, Mary E. Rowley and Mary B. Bush; nephews, James C. Bush, William G. Rowley and John N. Rowley; niece, Sara L. Rowley, great niece, Sinclair M. Rowley; and a large community of loving supportive friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Annabell Abke of Caro, MI.
