Obituary of David Martin

Martin, David Midland, MI David Martin, age 93, of Midland, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016, under hospice care at Hearts Content home in Breckenridge, from complications of a stroke. He was born August 6, 1922, in Marysville TX. He attended schools in California and was a very proud Harvard Graduate. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1945. David married Mary Elaine Becker on August 5, 1944 and they moved to Midland, from California in 1963. David worked for the Dow Chemical Company from 1945 until his retirement in 1980. He enjoyed reading, music, fine food and an occasional very dry martini. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Kimberly (Martin) and Jimmy Bruno; granddaughters, Camie and Kallie Schloemann; and grandson, Robert Bruno. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elaine (Becker) Martin, his parents, Dred and Hattie Lee (Davidson) Martin, and his sister, Bonnie Lee Martin.
