Obituary of Gerald W. Tessin

Tessin, Mr. Gerald (Jerry) Saginaw, MI Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Tuesday March 1st, 2016. The son of the late Edward and Gertrude (Potzger) Tessin. Gerald Walter Tessin was 87 years, born on September 16th, 1928 in Hemlock, Michigan. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Gerald joined the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He was employed by General Motors where he retired in 1993 from Saginaw Steering Gear Plant 2. Gerald was an avid follower of sports especially his grandchildren's sporting events. He also enjoyed bird watching, reading and gardening. Our times of picking berries and sporting activities will be a special memory. Surviving are three daughters, Denise (Jerry) Mauro, Stacey (Robert) Johnson, Leslie (Timothy) Sakshaug; Nine grandchildren, Marshall, Valerie, Danielle, Garrett, Jared, Sydni (Jeremy), Adam (Sadye), Mason and Myles (Melodie); eight great grandchildren, and two brothers Donald and Elmer Tessin. Gerald was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Edward Tessin and a sister Ruth Krafft. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial was held in his memory.
