Ira A. Koskinen, 90 of Pinconning, Michigan, passed away on March 3, 2016 at home.
He was born September 14, 1925 in Champion, MI., and he lived and worked in the Waukegan Illinois area for most of his life. He was retired from OMC Johnson Motors, and was a member of Wesley Free Methodist Church, Waukegan Illinois.
He is survived by his nephews Donald (Bonnie) Koskinen, where Ira was living in Pinconning, MI, Roger (Mer) Skold Sr. of Washington State, Dr. James (Linda) Phelan of Texas.
Great Nephews and Nieces Shannon (Amy) Koskinen of Wisconsin, Brian Koskinen (Stacy Coughlin) of Kentucky, Roger Skold Jr. of Tennessee, Jennifer (Steve) Vantrease of Illinois, Curt Todd of Colorado, Chris (Donna) Todd of Mississippi, Chardonnay of Texas, and many great great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Violet (Jernberg) in 2001, his parents Walfred, Ida (Mattinen) Koskinen and two brothers Clayton and Kenneth Koskinen.
Ira enjoyed having coffee every morning with his friends, wood working, gardening and special outings with his church friends.
