Tappen, Leon Monroe Saginaw, MI Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the age of 73. He was born August 14, 1942 in Saginaw Michigan. He married Ruth Ann Beechinor on November 12, 1982. Leon is survived by his wife Ruth Ann; a daughter Debbie; a son, Timothy; and a granddaughter, Heather; two sisters, Nancy (Dell) Maxwell and Barbara Near; sister-in-law, Estella Tappen; step-daughter, Linda Defore; three step-grandchildren, Danny, Johnathon, Matthew Defore; good friends, Dewy and Angie Burke; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Leon and Goldie; his son Dennis; two brothers, Floyd and Gerald Tappen; and three sisters, Merty, Pearl, and Rosemary.
