Obituary of Lorne F. Thompson

Thompson, Lorne Saginaw, MI Lorne Thompson went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 11, 2016. Lorne was born November 1, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan, to Lafayette and Elsie (Mor) Thompson. Although Lorne never graduated from high school he became a life- long learner and author. He attended Bible College and preached in several Mid West States for 19 years. At the age of 43 he earned his Bachelors Degree at Western Michigan University and taught 19 years in Millington Public Schools. Never seen without a book, or in later years without his kindle, he was a theology scholar. He thrived in his discussions about the riches of God's Word. To further spread the Gospel he turned to writing and publishing 28 books on the computer. His uplifting spirit will be missed by family, friends and acquaintances. Lorne is survived by his daughter Carolee (Mark) Weber of Davenport, Florida; his Grandchildren, Tenille and Sean; great- granddaughters, Hannah, Haley, and Rihanna; grandson, Clint (Sarah) Schwab of Millington, Michigan with Lorne's great-granddaughters Erin and Breezy. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Geri and Donna Thompson; nieces and nephews. Lorne was predeceased by his siblings Lafayette (Maria), Tommy (Geri), Jackie (Donna), Gertrude, and Charlotte (Erv); daughter, Laura Faith Schwab and her son Peter John Schwab. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 25, 2016, at Faith Baptist Church, 4690 Tittabawassee Rd., Saginaw, Michigan.
