Obituary of Doris A. Hart

Hart, Doris A. Oscoda, Michigan formerly of Saginaw Doris Hart living at Tawas Village, an assisted living home in East Tawas, MI passed on April 30, 2016. Doris was a mother, a reading teacher in Oscoda and Freeland, Michigan, and a lifelong believer in exercise. Walking her beloved Lake Huron beach for miles with family and friends, reading, and playing games on her computer were among her many passions. Born on February 10, 1926 in Saginaw, MI, to late Michael J. and Wilma (Slinkard) Hart, Doris called both Saginaw and Oscoda home throughout her life. Doris will forever be remembered by her children: Terri (Bob) Michaelis of Oscoda, Mark (Judy) Biggers of Oscoda, Richard (Jo) Biggers of East Tawas, Jean Biggers of Sterling Heights, and Joann Abdul Malik of Canton. Doris is survived by her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who will remember the enthusiasm and passion with which she lived her life. Also surviving is her sister Joan (William) Kiessel of Mentor, Ohio. and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her brothers Father Harry Hart, Irving (Mildred) Hart, and Dick (Joyce) Hart and her beloved identical twin Virginia Jean Fisk. The service will be at held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday May 14, 2016 at St. Dominic Parish (SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church) 4735 W. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. A private interment at St Andrew's Cemetery will be held later.
