Obituary of Gary H. Engel

Engel, Gary Brant, MI Gary, age 43, passed away at his home, due to an ongoing medical condition, in the early hours of May 9, 2016. He was born July 4, 1972, to Gary and Mary (Guaon) Engel in Flint, MI. He was an active member of The Saginaw Sportsmans Club in Albee township. He enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends; cooking and barbequing for many people. He deeply enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid outdoorsman. He passed on to his daughter, the love of hunting. He enjoyed gardening, and had a well-kept garden, the bounty of which he gladly shared with family and friends. Anyone who knew him, knew he had two green thumbs. He also bred Chihuahuas, and loved his two small dogs. He is survived by his wife Marci (Walters); son, Eric Walters; daughter, Alannah Engel; grandson, Declan Walters; his father, Gary B. Engel, mother, Mary F. Engel (West Branch, MI, formerly of New Lothrop, MI; his brother, Mark Engel of Letts, IA; nephew Mark V. Engel; niece, Lucille M. Engel; many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were all very special to him; and some near and dear friends that were also very special to Gary, Ian Anspach of New Lothrop, MI, John O. (Traci) Crawford of Saginaw, MI, and Robert Sandoval of Owosso, MI. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Howard and Lela Engel and Alfred and Gladys Guoan. Cremation has taken place and a Life Celebration is being planned for a later date and will be announced at that time.
