Robert M. (Bob) Maidens passed away on May 28, 2016 at home after a short illness. He was born October 16, 1926 in Pontiac, MI. He was the son of Lawrence and Beatrice Maidens.
He moved to Midland, Michigan as a boy and lived with his grandmother. He went to Midland Public schools. After graduation at the age of 18 he went into the Navy and served from 1944-1946 in the South Pacific. When he came home he met Anna Wendt and married August 30, 1947. She passed away October 1983. Robert worked for Dow Chemical for 35 years he worked in the Dow Fire Dept as a Fireman for 27 years retiring 1982. He liked to playing golf, fishing, and woodworking, in the summer he liked spending time working in the yard. He was a member of the American Leigon Post 165 in Midland, MI. He had two sons and two daughters. The oldest son Michael was killed in Vietnam May 27, 1970. Rodney deceased December 2009. Wanda Kay Hoverman lives in Midland, MI, Serena (Jeff) Gardiner lives in Beaverton, MI. He has two granddaughters Lisa (Rob) Farrier lives in Webberville, MI and Heather Zemanek, lives in Midland, MI. Three grandsons Garrett Gardiner of Beaverton, MI, Jackson Gardiner (Army) South Korea, Mitchell Gardiner (US Air Force) South Korea, great granddaughter, Kayla, Lauren, great grandsons Kody, Ethan, Caiden, great great grandaughter Natalie, great great grandson Grayson.
Four brothers, Lloyd, Lawrence both deceased, Duane Whitman, Evart, MI, Noel Thompson, Midland, MI, Sister in law Myrna Russell, Florida. Many nieces and nephews. Long time respective friend John Rosebrugh. His beloved dog (annie) who she will miss dearly. Special thanks to Mid-Michigan Hospice Team. Per Roberts wishes, no services will be held, cremation will be conducted through Cremation Society of Mid-Michigan.
