Cissie "Celia" Sarah Puddick was born April 11, 1922 in Portsmouth England. She enlisted in the Women's Royal English Navy (WRENS) during WW II, and while stationed in Egypt, she met and married an American, Harold Bach, from Bay City. She came to the U.S. in 1945 and together she and Harold had 4 children who survive her: David Bach of Houghton MI, Rodney (Barb) Bach of Bay City, Katherine (Ed) Morris of Bay City, and Brian Bach of Rochester Hills MI. She also leaves 10 grandchildren who treasured their grandmother; Jane Larson Thomas, Sarah Larson, Courtney Bach Goulet, Emily Bach Kochanny, Ryan Bach, Robyn Morrie Coole, Scott Morris, Jefferson Bach, Harrison Bach, and Erikson Bach. She was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 dear sisters in England, Joyce Aslett and Peggy Pike; many English nieces and nephews; local brother-in-law, Herb (Gwen) Bach; and many more nieces and nephews. Celia loved her career in real estate and was "Realtor Associate of the Year" in 1985.
After Harold's death in 1988, she met Bob Frederick, and together they shared 24 wonderful years, living and golfing in The Villages, FL until Bob's death in 2011. Bob's children, Randy (Sandy) Frederick, Bobbie (Pat) Zander, Linda Weir, Jackie (Doyle) Baker, and Marsha (Dave) Britton also mourn her passing.
Following Celia's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Those of you who knew Celia and her independent spirit are left to cherish your memories of her and celebrate her amazing life with a toast' "to a life well lived for 94 years".
