Obituary of Janice Ogram LaBeau

Janice E Ogram LaBeau died June 10, 2016 In Spring Valley California with her family by her side. She was born in Davenport Iowa on February 28, 1931 the daughter of Louis and Eileen Pedersen. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School. She married James Ogram in 1948 he predeceased her in 1994. She then married Charles La Beau who survives her. They moved to California in 1997 to enjoy their retirement near her sister Diane. Jan worked for many years at Saginaw Township Schools. She was a voracious reader and always had a book nearby. IF you happened to walk by the house on Eric James Court on a summer day you were sure to hear show tunes or Frank Sinatra blasting from the stereo. She loved her afternoon glass of Chardonnay almost as much as she loved to shop. She was a long time active member of Ames United Methodist Church. Surviving is her husband Chuck LaBeau, children James (OkHwa) Ogram, Rhode Island, Janeen(Gary) Schaeding, Freeland, Jill Charlton, Fairfax Virginia, Jayne (John) Nestell Gay Mi, Joni (David) Theisen, Beaverton Mi and John Ogram, Howell Mi . Step Children Marilyn (Gerald) Sapak Charles (Deanna) LaBeau. Sister Diane (Bill) Shanebeck. She was blessed to have 22 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren who will remember Gramma Jan as loving, caring and supportive. Preceding her in death were her parents, first husband Jim and 2 grandchildren Jason Nestell and Hillary Ogram. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday July 16, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Road, Saginaw.
