Obituary of Doris L. Strauss

Strauss, Doris Lynn Reese, MI Doris, age 68, passed away peacefully at her home in Reese, MI on Friday, July 15, 2016, after a brave battle with cancer. Doris was born August 27, 1947 in Wyandotte, MI to Walter and Joyce (Johnson) McKay. She most recently worked for the Saginaw Club in Saginaw, Michigan. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, candle-making, painting, and traveling. She is survived by her children, Jeanine (Strauss) Kinsella of Saginaw, MI, James (Kris) Strauss of Huntingtown, MD, and Phillip (Jamie) Strauss of Reese, MI; grandchildren, Ryan Kinsella, Abigail Strauss, Ian Strauss, Connor Strauss, and Harper Strauss; three siblings, Walter "Butch" (Ellie) McKay of Palm City, FL, Shirley (Dennis) Santo of Rockford, MI, and Cherie Cushing of Taylor, MI. She also leaves behind many loved family and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Scott Strauss. At Doris's wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be planned at a later date.
