Obituary of Barbara L. Hoag

Hoag, Barbara Midland, Michigan Barbara Louise Hoag, age 80, of Midland passed away peacefully August 16th, 2016, at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 23, 1935 in Pontiac. Daughter of the late Hugh and Anges (Silsby) Douglas. On April 12, 1952 Barbara married Howard Stephen Hoag who passed March 31,2010. Together they raised a Son, and 3 daughters. Barbara touched many lives her time here on earth. She had a special gift, and used that to help others. She had an outstanding love for all animals, cooking smores and Kogel Vienna's during bonfires, enjoyed the outdoors, and playing card games with her dear friends Linda and Angie. Barbara is survived by her brother Gerold (Lisa) Douglas, her four children, Stephen (Lori) Hoag, Connie Barringer, Shelly Ross, and Mindy (Dave) Merryman, , 9 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and countless numbers of friends. Besides her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers Kenneth and Harold Douglas. Honoring Barbara's requests,creamation has taken place, there will be no services held, but a dinner gathering to be held at a future date.
