Obituary of Adrian "Abe" A. LaBonville

LaBonville, Adrian (Abe) Midland, MI Adrian (Abe) Arthur LaBonville, 79, of Midland passed away peacefully on September 14, 2016. Abe was born in Alma to the late Helen (Risk) and Arthur LaBonville on July 2, 1937. He served in the US Marine Corps before beginning his 34 -year career at The Dow Chemical Company. He married Marilyn (Cassaday) on October 14, 1961 in Ithaca. Abe was active in the community both in Midland and at their winter home on Pine Island, Florida which they enjoyed together for over 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Pine Island Elks and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, reading and Michigan history. For ten years, Abe and Marilyn lived summers in Frankfurt to be near their boat and friends at the East Shore Marina, returning to Midland in 2015. Abe was predeceased one year ago by his wife Marilyn. He is survived by his son Mark (Sue) LaBonville of Sanford; daughter Linda (Kris) Hepinstall of Midland; grandchildren Erin (Matthew) Quebbeman of Phoenix, AZ, Brent Hepinstall of Midland, Kaleb LaBonville of Sanford, and Cassandra LaBonville of Clearwater, FL; and a precious great-granddaughter Lillian Grace Quebbeman. At Abe's request, the family will host a Celebration of Life on October 2, 2016 at 1:00 (food served at 2:00) at the Midland American Legion Berryhill Post 165. There will be a memorial service and internment for family at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI at a later date.
