Obituary of Edward R. Sheehan
Edward Roy Sheehan of Roseville, Mi formerly of Bay City, MI.
Father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away Friday, Sept 23 at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center, Saginaw, MI.
Age 91 years, born March 28, 1925. Edward enlisted and served for two and a half years in the United States Army during WW II. He was with the 172 Combat Engineers, the Ace Natural Deuce, and fought battles in the D-Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge, among others.
After the Army he was a tool and die repairman and retired from Central States Stamping near Detroit, MI. Left with their memories of him are one daughter, Christine Gabriel (James), and two sons, Daniel Sheehan (Barbara), and Steve Sheehan (Candy). He was preceded in death by his second wife Rose (Coffey) Sheehan, son Edward Sheehan (Anne) and step-son Mickey McKeown. He was also preceded in death by two brothers (Andy, James) and two sisters (Lois Gary and Faye Sheehan). A private memorial service took place. Interment at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. A special thank you to nephew Don Haskin and granddaughter Sheryl (Peachy) McKeown-Harper. Donations can be made to your local V.A.
