Obituary of Douglas Lee Blake

Blake, Douglas Lee Midland, MI Douglas Lee Blake, age 62, of Midland, died at home on December 10, 2016. Doug was born February 5, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to the late Billy Harold and Arlene Avah (Abbott) Blake. Doug married Susan Berge July 1, 2005 in Midland. Doug was a graduate of Midland High School and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his wife Sue. Although he was a loyal fan of the Tigers, the Lions and Michigan State, his greatest love was being Papa! Surviving are his wife Sue; step children, Andrew Brandt (Sarah), Kevin (Jessica) Brandt and Angela (Tom) Stieg; grandchildren, Brianna, Hope, Andrew, Sunny, Tristin, Wyatt and Aubrie; sister, Jean (Ed) Burriss; brothers, Clifford (Ann) Blake and Richard (Christine) Blake; mother and father in-law, Beverly and Joe Schanck; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law. A Celebration of Life will be held January 14, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Midland Moose Lodge on Bay City Road, Midland MI. Please come casual and share your memories.
