Obituary of Paul Morris Warner

Warner, Paul Morris Midland, MI Warner, Paul Morris, age 83 of Midland Michigan, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Bickford of Midland, after a brief illness. He was born in Findlay, Ohio on June 4, 1933 to the late Ruth (Foster) and Harvey Morris Warner. He married Carol A. Smith on April 4, 1953 in Findlay, Ohio and she predeceased him November 12, 2016. Paul was a middle school principal for Midland Public Schools, beginning his career at Jefferson Intermediate in 1970 and retiring from Central Middle School. Surviving Paul are two daughters, two sons, and their spouses and significant others; Amy and Christopher Potts, Rives Junction, MI, Betsy and David Wietfeldt, Merrill, MI, Thad Warner and Dee Stajdl, Midland, MI, Joel Warner and Ashley McIntosh, Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Christopher and Alicia Wietfeldt, Midland, MI, Brandon Wietfeldt and Jenna Diener, Freeland, MI, Lindsey and Nicholas Grillo, Freeland, MI, Jarrad and Ashley Warner, Midland, MI, Sadonna Stong, Saginaw, MI; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Blake Wietfeldt, Aaliyah and Ella Warner; sisters, Lynn Warner, Midland, MI, Jane Humphrey, Rockville, MD; sister-in-law Rose Warner, Findlay, OH; nieces, Cindy (Sky) Kirvan, Findlay, OH, Lee Anne Sulzberger, Rockville, MD, Laura (David) Brown, Tallahassee, FL, Alicia McCommons, Denver, CO; nephews, Jeff (Liz) Warner, Findlay, OH, Todd (Alison) Humphrey, Fredrick, MD, Jason Warner, Findlay, OH, Hugh (Marcia) Yeager, Clearwater, FL, Mark (Nancy) Yeager, Holiday, FL, Brett McCommons, Shakopee, MN. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Phillip Warner; brother-in-law, William Humphrey; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joyce and Marion Yeager. Paul's family would like to thank Dad's golf buddies for the endless hours of entertainment you brought our father (trust us, we heard every dirty joke and prank that had ever been told and pulled); Dr. Lorenzo Berlanga for his honest, compassionate care; Bickford of Midland including the administration and caregivers, you all are amazing people for doing what you do, each and every one of you brought our family peace and comfort while caring for Dad; and Heartland Hospice Care. Following Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Paul's life will take place at a later date.
