Obituary of Gerald Eugene Rogers

Rogers, Gerald Eugene St. Louis, MI Gerald, age 81 of St. Louis passed away at his home on April 6, 2017. He was born in Portland on April 11, 1935 to Charles and Stella Rogers. Jerry served in the Navy from 1952-1954 on the USS Midway and the Coral Sea. He married Donna (Ehle) Rogers in Grand Rapids on November 24, 1955. He was a company pilot for the Leonard Refinery in Alma until October of 1981 and retired as maintenance supervisor in September of 1995. He enjoyed antique tractors and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Donna of 61 years, son Robert (Ronda Clark) Rogers of St. Louis, William (Robin) Rogers of St. Louis, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 brothers John (Sherry) Sommers of Rockford, Jerome (Char) Rogers of Grand Rapids and sister Carol Rogers of Blanchard. Cremation has taken place. Donations may be made to the Pardee Cancer Fund of Gratiot County, Hospice of Mid Michigan or the Alma United Methodist Church.
