Obituary of Lorretta J. Butler

Butler, Lorretta J. Midland, M Lorretta J. Butler, 84, of Midland, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at peace with her family by her side. She was born August 4, 1932 in Bay City, MI, to the late Adolph and Genevieve (Banaszak) Gorzycki. On May 19, 1956, she married Lawrence T. Butler, in Angola, IN. Lorretta enjoyed bowling, bingo, the Detroit Tigers and especially the casino. She is survived by her children, Darlene (Dave) Curell, Robert Butler, Sherry (Mike) Bradley, Colleen (Mike) Fitzgibbon and Steven Butler. Also surviving is her lifetime friend, Kay Score. She also leaves nine beloved grandchildren and ten great grandchildren with another one on the way. Lorretta was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence in 1994 and her sister Mary Jane Rosenbrock. The family would like to thank the angels of Medilodge in Midland for taking such great care of our Mother and loving her like one of their own. They would also like to thank the Heartland Hospice staff. Cremation has taken place and the Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 21, 2017 at Our Lady of Czestochowa (St. Hyacinth Church) Bay City, MI with Father Richard Filary officiating.
