Obituary of Patricia M. Sitts

Patricia (Pat) Mary Sitts, age 71, of Wheeler, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at her home under the loving care of her family. The daughter of Nicholas and Olga (Rhode) Roach, she was born January 25, 1946 in Saginaw. On October 26, 1963 she married Emerson Sitts. Pat was a homemaker most of her life. In her younger years she loved babysitting, she considered those children her own as well. Many of them to this day would still come to visit with her. She loved baking and was very famous for her "Christmas Cookies". She enjoyed going to the Mackinaw Bridge, setting by the water with a coffee and donut in hand. Pat has 6 wonderful grandchildren that she loved very much and was very proud of. She has a special place in each one of their hearts. She is survived by her husband Emerson Sitts of 53 years; two children Kim (Sitts) Rose, Kurt (Shelly) Sitts; six grandchildren, Patty and Thomas Rose; Kerstin, Colton, Caden, and Collin Sitts. Her sisters Darlene Wolfgang, Carol Warner, Kathy (Peanut) Sugar and sister-in-law Mary Roach. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both her parents Nicholas and Olga Roach, her brother James Roach, two sisters Donna Northrop and Shirley Carter; three brother-in-laws Glen Warner Jr, Robert Sugar and Vern Northrop. A memorial service is planned for Saturday April 29, 2017 at 11:00am at Countryside United Brethren Church, 4762 11 Mile Rd, Breckenridge with Pastors Lee Rhodes and Richard Joliff officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church. Envelopes for memorial contributions to The Breckenridge Education Foundation (scholarship fund) and Gratiot County Relay for Life will be available at the church.
