Obituary of Joan Wood

Wood, Joan M. Oscoda, MI Joan, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. She was born April 18, 1948 in Allegan Michigan to the late Kenneth and Vivian (Decker) Wood. She was a 1966 graduate of Coloma High School and served her country in the U.S. Army in both Okinawa and Arizona as a clerk typist. She worked at Michigan Bell and AT&T in Benton Harbor and Kalamazoo, then retired to Oscoda MI. She enjoyed buying gifts for others, reading, and watching movies. She was everyone's favorite aunt, whether they were related or not. Surviving are her siblings, Richard (Cathy) Wood, Janet Rorick, Karen Sink, Kathy (Garold) Thibeault, and Vicki (Norman) Marx; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Diana Bogart, Donald Wood, and Bruce Wood. Respecting Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
