Obituary of Jack Elmer Foote

Foote, Jack Elmer Saginaw, MI Jack Elmer Foote passed away at his Saginaw, MI home on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the age of 83. Jack is predeceased by his parents, Jack and Ethel (Porterfield) Foote. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bonnie (Wiltse) Foote. Jack is lovingly remembered by his wife, two sons and their spouses, John (Suzanne) and William (Tommie) Foote. He adored his family, including seven grandchildren and their spouses, Tucker (Kecia), Shaelie (Cliff), Michael (Tiana), Travis, Justin, Zachary and Whitnee. His great grandchildren, Riley, Avery, Claire and Brynn were also an immense joy in his life. Jack was very proud of his family and considered it very important to be a good citizen. Jack was born in Saginaw, MI and lived his entire life in the Saginaw area. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School. He spent two years in the US Army, including overseas duty. Jack spent his entire professional career in the telephone services industry starting with Western Electric, Michigan Bell and then other AT&T subsidiaries. He loved spending time with his family, mentoring young people who all called him "Uncle Jack", golfing, gambling, hunting and fishing. Jack determined his wealth by the number and quality of character of his family and many friends. He told everyone he lived a full life. He worked hard and played hard and wouldn't have had it any other way. Jack did not want a funeral, but rather a celebration of life, which will be held on June 10, 2017.
