Mrs. Owens, age 89, died Thursday June 8, 2017. She was born October 13, 1927 in Coleman Michigan to the late Cyril and Thelma (Acker) Letson. Winnie made the best chocolate chip cookies, and enjoyed social events, especially dancing, traveling and playing cards. Winnie's real love was spending time with family and holding and snuggling her grandbabies.
She is survived by her children: Sandra (Richard) Sharp, Joseph (Rhonda) Owens, Terry (Jill) Owens, Rick (Virginia) Owens, Ann (Carl) Athey; 8 step-children; 28 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sisters, Helen (Dan) Reid and Elaine (Forest) Densmore.
