Obituary of Evelyn M. Heilig

Heilig, Evelyn M. Sanford, Michigan Evelyn M. Heilig passed away on Wednesday, July 5th, at the age of 82 at her home surrounded by her loving family after long battle with RA and cancer. No matter how bad she felt, her favorite comment was "I fine".She put everyone else's needs before her own. Her strength and perseverance were truly admirable. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 1,1934, to the late Joseph and Albina Partyka. Her beautiful smile and love for everyone she came in contact with will be missed so dearly by many. Evelyn was the ultimate cook and baker and loved passing down her recipes to her daughters. She loved watching the Tigers and Red Wings, enjoyed going to the casino and was the best Euchre player ever! Her life was her husband and best friend of 64 years, and her family. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Lori and five brothers. She is survived by her husband Herbert, sister Kathleen O'Rourke, special niece Margie Moorehead, children Ron(Teresa), Bob (Rene'), Steve (Julie), Mike(Barb), Dave, and Kathy (Dave) Kovacevich, grandchildren Abbie, Sean, Katie, Hannah, Nicole, Jessica, Rebecca, Amanda,Michelle, Adam, David, Cody, Mack, and Brandon, and 8 great grandchildren. No service is planned at this time and a private mass will be held at a later date. Evelyn's family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Weaver and nurse Debbie, Dr. Aloff, Cindy Beadle, PA and staff, and MidMichigan Hospice, with special thanks to nurse Ken, for their love and compassionate care given to Evelyn.
