Obituary of Elizabeth "Liz" E. Osborn

Osborn,Elizabeth "Liz" Fairgrove, MI Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Elizabeth "Liz" Osborn, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on July 12, 2017 with her family by her side. Liz was born May 23, 1925 in Detroit, MI to the late Ernest and Carolyn (Walker) Kidder. In 1949 she married Lawrence (Larry) Osborn, who preceded her in death February 13, 1980. She was also predeceased by their son Lawrence, Jr. (Bo); infant daughter Elizabeth Ann and infant grandson, Jeffrey. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters Carol and (Gary) Sahr of Midland, MI; Connie and (Lee) Butts of Fairgrove, MI; Laura Osborn of Fairgrove, MI. Six grandchildren, Tim and Susana Sahr of Jackson, MI; Heidi and Ron Haines of Fairfield, IA; Renee and Travis McCoy of Columbia City, IN; Aimee and Todd Schultz of Swartz Creek, MI; Shellie and Lloyd Rayner of Fairgrove, MI; Sarah Osborn (Marshall Gregory) of Madison Heights. She had 14 great grandchildren: Aaron, Evan and Kiley Haines; TC, Melissa, Noah and Kaylee McCoy; Drew and Abbie Schultz; Ayden, Ty, Ayva and Eyan Rayner; Audrey Gregory. Liz moved to Caro with her family when she was in high school. She settled in Fairgrove where she quickly became involved in her community. Liz volunteered in many Bean Festival Activities, 4-H and extension groups. Liz was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was a lifelong member and Worthy Matron of the Kedron Chapter No. 33 Order of Eastern Star in Caro and Fairgrove. Liz enjoyed bowling, flea marketing and raising gardens with her neighbors. She was also involved in Brownies and Girl Scouts and sold Avon. Liz began her own business known as "Liz's Underground Ceramics", where her friends and students learned, shared and laughed with a good friend. She will be remembered by all. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. If desired, a memorial may be made to the Fairgrove Methodist Church or Tuscola County Medical Care Facility.
