Obituary of Steven F. Harkey

Harkey, Steven F. Prescott, Michigan Steven F Harkey 61 of Prescott, MI passed away on July 21, 2017. Beloved father of Brandi (Pete) Everitt and son John Harkey of Rose City, MI. Grandfather of Dakota, Dylan, Wyatt and Aiden. Son of Roland and Eleanor Harkey of Prescott brother to April (Rich) Mason of Skidway Lake. Also many nieces and nephews and many friends. Steven was born August 10, 1955 in Kennett, MO. Raised in the Prescott area on the family farm. Graduated from Whittemore-Prescott High School in 1974. In 1976 Steven joined the Navy then became a Seabee as a heavy equipment operator, he served 8 years upon getting out in 1984. Then became an over the road truck driver for 27 years. Seeing the world while in the Navy and covering the country while driving truck. Steven was an avid Hunter of both archery and rifle. He took many trips to Canada for bear hunting with his buddies and father. He spent time with his son John shooting in many Archery tournaments also had our own 3d course for Target practice at home. He loved to spend time with his nephew Chris out on the boat fishing. Steven loved to ride around town on his trike, or just going for a ride anywhere. He also loved spending time at the Flipping Frog in Skidway Lake where he made many more friends. He spent time in Florida with friends, and was planning to become a snowbird.
