Obituary of Dolores "Dee" (Laundra) Darland

Darland, Dolores "Dee" (Laundra) Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away, on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Cartwright Center, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 67. Dee was born October 25, 1949, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Vernon (Tim) and Bessie (Gallery) Darland. Dee was devoted to her family and friends, spending countless hours caring for others, in their time of greatest need. She especially treasured her time with her beloved grandchildren, Austin, Andrew and Paige Mikolaiczik. Dee worked for many years, at the Pacesetter Hair Salon, in Saginaw. She is survived by her son, Troy Laundra; Austin, Andrew and Paige's parents, John and Amy Mikolaiczik; her sister-in-law Cheryl Darland; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rod and Jeannie Gorske; sister-in-law Theo Ogle; brother-in-law Moe Laundra; an aunt, Alice Rummery; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Julie Branch. Dee was preceded in death by her father and mother, Vernon and Bessie Darland, brothers Vernon, Donald and Darrell Darland. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place with the remains to be interred at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw. There will be a Celebration of Life for family and close friends, on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Trillium Banquet Center, 6415 State St., Saginaw, MI.
