Obituary of Robert Cook

Cook, Robert L. Lake, MI Robert L. Cook, 87, of Lake MI passed away peacefully August 5, 2017 surrounded by family. Robert, son of Tom and Alice Cook, grew up in Farwell. He married Shirley (Rosefelt) Cook of Saginaw before leaving to serve his country in the Army during the Korean War. After the war they settled in Freeland, MI to raise their family. He worked in the Gas/Welding Department at Consumer's Energy in Saginaw for 42 years and retired to enjoy fishing, golfing, watching Tiger's Baseball, and spending time with his family. His wife, Shirley, of 65 years pre-deceased Robert last year. He was also pre-deceased by three sisters and six brothers. He is survived by one sister, his children, Robert Jr (Brenda) Cook of Saginaw, Cynthia (Duane) Reinke of Freeland, Catherine (Wayne) Zeigler of Havelock, NC, and niece Connie (Kim) Peckham of Midland. He has six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. If you would like to make a donation in his honor please consider St. Jude's Children Hospital.
