Obituary of Theda Dianne Sebert
Theda Dianne Sebert, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully, at her family home, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
Dianne was born December 5, 1941 to Floyd Wescoat and Addie Hergenreder. She graduated from Vassar High School and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Leroy Sebert I, on June 30, 1962. Together they have four children Robert Sebert II and wife Wendy, Craig Sebert and wife Lorianne, Karen (Sebert) White and husband Brian, Katrina (Sebert) Wager and husband Ted. Dianne and Bob also opened their home and took care of several foster children over the years of their marriage.
Dianne and Bob were blessed with 15 grandchildren and 7 of them have spouses and 8 great grandchildren. She is survived by sibling Sally (Don) Davis; sister and brother in-laws Keith Sebert, Carol (Lee) Deneen, Debbie Cobb, Ken (Sherry) Sebert, Brenda (Vince) Licavoli, Doug Sebert, and William Sebert; several nieces, nephews; special friends, Karen Offenbecher and Dee Beebe, and her loving Chihuahua dog, Skip.
Dianne enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and sharing her talent making special gifts (clothing, dolls, blankets, Christmas ornaments etc.) for so many of her family, friends, and anyone in need. She was passionate about her family and spending time with them. She took pride in leaving her home open to all and enjoyed the holiday's, family parties, and visits. Dianne was also available to play any kind of card game. Dianne had jokes to share if you were willing to listen. Dianne and Bob shared their passion for Standardbred Harness Racing; she was a sports enthusiast, with special interest in the Detroit Tigers and Pistons. She was infamous for her famous words, "add em up, add em up" (as her children and grandchildren played games) and "I love you, I said it first" whenever she saw her grandchildren.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father in-law Robert and Chris Sebert; sisters Irene Highlen and Norah Germain; brothers Wilbur and Duane Wescoat; brother in-law's Lester Highlen and David Cobb; sister in-law Wendy Sebert, nephew Chuck Sebert, and niece Roxanne Blackmer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in care of Robert Sebert at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4941 Center Street, Millington MI. 48746 where Robert will designate Dianne's wishes. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2017, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4941 Center St. Millington MI.
