We are so sorry Deb. Mike will be missed so much. What a great guy...so generous....always wanting to lend a helping hand. He was just a big kid...ready for any adventure! We had wonderful times with you and Mike and it's still hard to believe we won't ever be speeding across a lake with him again. We love you...:cry::heart:

I am so sad for you at this time. I hope you are greatly consoled in your sons and the loving memories of your dad. I'll never forget watching Purple Rain over and over in his rec room when we were girls.

I met Mike at AC Spark plug. what a GREAT guy Mike was and still is. The last time I spoke with him is when he gave me a call as he was driving through the Upper Peninsula several winters ago and knowing I retired there he wanted to meet up for just a few just to say hello over a coffee. Knowing he has passed truly saddens me ...So sad.

Mike was a great guy that will be missed by many, especially Todd and myself. When he was our neighbor there wasn't a time that I couldn't call that he didn't come right over ( once with a loaded gun lol). I don't always understand why people have to leave us sooner than others but I know that God will comfort us as we mourn Mike. We are praying for you Debbie and family as you journey through these tough days.

Just before "Back in the Day" we were friends at St. Anne's Elementary in Linwood Mi. Also, Alter Boys together...Mike sometimes tried to get us to " break character" while on the Alter during Sunday Mass. He did succeed once. About six of us Alter Boys (hard to believe but I was their captain) were seated across from each other in the Alter pews during the Holy Gospel. Mike was at the end the parishioners could not see his hand dip into the full collection basket. He plucked out a dollar bill and started toying and waiving it at the three of us. Father did turn and gave us a look. It was not a humors Gospel! See ya later Old Alter Boy!

Even though Mike is my cousin, I did not know him very well because he was a bit older than me, and most of my memories of the Floods are from after he grew up and moved out on his own. I remember seeing him mostly at a few family reunions and at funerals.
But I do remember hearing about whatever new adventure he embarked upon over the years and there were many adventures. My Aunt Carol always said he was very smart and enjoyed learning and doing new things, so he never got bored.
My heart goes out to my Flood cousins in their time of grief. Love to all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

We went through grade school together at St. Anne in Linwood, then onto high school at Pinconning. Then we met up again years later when he was sailing Hobie Cats with my husband. It was good to see him again after so many years. So sorry to hear he has passed. See you later my friend.
