My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Lota's family:
I worked with Lota in the Neonatal unit for many years. ( the daughter who worked in a doctor's office-excuse me for not remembering your name) I met you when I was doing chart reviews a few years back. My memories of Lota are as a nurse with those babies, a crafter, a Red Hat Lady and she was a clogger with another co-worker. So cherish your memories and although we miss our loved ones, they are forever with us in our hearts.

From Lota's children, thank you for taking the time to sign on and writing a brief comment. We miss mom so much and are having a difficult time processing this. It is comforting to know that she touched so many lives and is missed by others. Thank you.

So sorry to hear of Lota's passing. I lived by her on Bancroft St. and her sister Judy was my best friend. When I was a teenager she moved back to Michigan and I babysat for her children from time to time and always enjoyed her company. Later on in life I would see her occasionally at the hospital. I always thought she was a very special lady and I am sure she will be missed by many.

I have fond memories when we were young and our mothers were lunch ladies at Redemer school. Growing up in the neighborhood together was fun. Lota was always nice to me. I enjoyed her company and her smile. Condolences from my family to yours. Jon Lilliestierna

My favorite memory of Lota is that she was working at the hospital the night my son was born. She brought me graham crackers and a drink in the middle of the night. She told me that she told the other nurses that THIS baby doesn't cry, meaning take care of him immediately. That was almost 39 years ago, but when I think of Lota I remember how she took such special care of me and my baby. I also remember how funny she was, always smiling and shining her light. My prayers are for her family, to know the peace of God and to always remember that memories are His gift to us. Barb Patrick
