Obituary of John W. Wiesen

Wiesen, John W. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Wiesen, age 91, passed away at his home with his children at his side on Wednesday October 4, 2017. John was born in Bay City on January 4, 1926 to the late Floyd and Leona (Sampson) Wiesen. After graduation from high school, John joined the U.S. Navy and served in WWII. He was the owner of his own business, John Wiesen Plumbing and Heating for 45 years. He was an avid golfer, he loved all sports, watching one on TV and listening to another on the Radio. He especially loved U of M football, Tiger baseball, the Lion and Red Wings as well. On July 11, 1946 he married the former Elizabeth Ruth Etue. They shared their lives together for 61 years before her death on March 30, 2007. He is survived by two children; John James Wiesen and Ruth Ann (Donald) Krzewinski. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, 3 sisters,1 brother in law and 1 sister in law. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 1 brother,4 brothers in law and 4 sisters in law. Per John's request cremation has taken place there will be no visitation. Interment at St. Patricks Cemetery will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Friday October 13, 2017.
