Obituary of Darlene A. Hornsby

Darlene A. Hornsby, age 77 years, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Carriage House in Bay City, Michigan. Her death was related to Cancer and many other health issues. She was born May 20, 1940 in Bay City. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth D. Hornsby and Christine M. (Darland). Darlene graduated from St. Joseph High School in Bay City, Michigan. She traveled the country and worked many years as a health care provider. She resided in Nashville, Tenn. before returning home to Bay City. She was predeceased by her sister Marcia N. Holland and her brother John K. Hornsby. Surviving family includes a sister, Penny Olson, Auburn, MI., two brothers Lee (Pat) (Patricia) Hornsby, Greenville, Miss., and Charles (Mike) (Sally) Hornsby, Freeland, MI. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She marveled at how fast the family was growing and made sure she was kept informed of how everyone was doing. She knew everyone's birthday by heart, and always took the time to find just the right card to send. The memorial service will be Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 10AM at St. Boniface Church, 510 N. Lincoln St., Bay City MI. The Family will greet friends on Saturday from 9-10 AM prior to the service. There will be a luncheon following the service. Those desiring may make a contribution to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the American Cancer Society. There will be a private interment at Floral Gardens in Bay City Michigan at a later date.
