Obituary of Caroline M. Warren
Caroline Mae Warren, age 81, of West Branch, MI, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at MediLodge of Sterling with her family by her side. The daughter of the late William Carl Dankert and Ruth (Soggs) Dankert, Caroline was born March 15, 1936, in Saginaw MI. She married James R Warren on December 23, 1961 and spent 55 loving years together.
Left to cherish her memory is her spouse James (Jim), 4 sons and their spouses Vern (Bonnie) Warren of West Branch, Tony (Kathy) Warren of Pinconning, Mike (Connie) Warren of Rose City, Russ (Ginger) Warren of West Branch, grandchildren Brandy Warren, Charity Warren, Jimmy, Jared, Jaycen Warren and Carrie Bodner, Rob Warren, Caitlin Baird and one great grand-daughter Alora. Caroline is predeceased by her siblings, Herbert Dankert, Demond Dankert, Maxine Wegner and Evonda Dankert.
Caroline was a devoted wife and mother that was very involved in her community. She was a past Matron and life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, member of the VFW Post 3775 Auxiliary and member of the First United Methodist Church since 1964 where she spent many hours working the church rummages and crafts bazaars. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and working with her hands. She loved bowling, gardening, hunting and could quite often be found on the local Golf Course.
A funeral service will take place at First United Methodist Church of West Branch on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Timothy Dibble officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
For the past year Caroline had resided at MediLodge of Sterling. The family expresses their thanks to the staff and residence for the outpouring of compassionate, loving care and friendship they extended to our family and to our mother. We also extend our gratefulness to Heartland Hospice for the incredible care and guidance they gave to all of us during this difficult time.
