Joseph R. Zawislak, age 73, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 from cancer. Joe was born January 6, 1944 to the late Joseph and Bernice Zawislak in Paterson. N.J. He was an independent caterer for 44 years, driving a lunch truck to factories in and around Detroit. He belonged to the 4 Seasons Fishing Club in Livonia, MI and was also President of the club for several years, and this past year and a half he worked for the DNR in Au Gres.
He is survived by his significant other, Donna Tomes of 25 years. His son, Joseph K. (Janice) Zawislak and daughter, Michelle (Steve) Vurdelja. Joe also leaves behind 5 granddaughters and 5 grandsons, 1 great-granddaughter and 1 great-grandson. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
