Obituary of Roy Harold Locke

Roy Harold Locke, 93, passed away peacefully at Bayfield Assisted Living on Monday November 13, 2017, surrounded by family. Roy was born on May 13, 1924 in Towner, North Dakota. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II; was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge on December 16, 1944; and was awarded both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Roy was very talented in woodworking, loved traveling, and enjoyed spending time with his many beloved dogs over the years. He is survived by his wife Alice at Bayfield Assisted Living in Bay City, Michigan; son Roy H. (Pamela) Locke Jr. of Freeland, Michigan; stepsons Clifford Allan (Reeda) Hart of Falmouth, Kentucky and Anthony Todd (Nicole) Conrad of Arlington, Texas. Roy is also survived by his wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service with burial will take place at a later date in Kentucky.
