Obituary of Alma Mary Harder

Alma Mary Harder, 92 of Bay Port, Michigan passed away November 11, 2017 at her home with family members present. Alma was born to August and Emma Naffien on December 18, 1924 in Linkville, MI. For many years, Alma, besides being a loving mother and wife, enjoyed waitressing at Walt's Restaurant in Caseville besides a few other places. She is survived by her children, Robert & (Betty) Harder of Lansing, MI, Patricia & (Daniel) Anderson of Lewiston, MI, Ervin Harder Jr. of Caseville, MI , Mary Lazarus of Bay Port, MI, Margaret & (Bud) Schaar of Sebewaing, MI, and Richard Harder of Bay Port, MI, her sister Mabel Herman of Pigeon, MI., 27 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren , 34 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.. She was predeceased by her husband Ervin Lee Harder Sr., her mother Emma (Bock) Naffien and her father August Naffien, 4 brothers-John Naffien, Albert Naffien, Walter Naffien and Elmer Naffien and 4 sisters-Clara Kepfer, Lillian McGathy, Helen Samczyk and Dorothy Dufty, and 1 granddaughter, Andrea Lynn Harder. The family is honoring her wishes of cremation and no funeral, but memorial arrangements will be planned for later. A special thank you from our family to Scheurer Hospital Acute Care Staff for the wonderful care of our mother during her hospital stay, to the hospice team, to the Bay City Cremation Society, and a Very Special thank you to Dr. Kahn for all the years of taking such wonderful care of our mother.
