Bill passed away December 24, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital. Bill was instrumental in the development and expansion of the Old Town Soup Kitchen. He was the manager of the in house kitchen and led an army of volunteers. He worked with several foundations in the Saginaw and Midland area to help feed and clothe thousands of hungry people. Multiple buildings were erected for food and clothing distribution because of his ability to communicate a clear vision and purpose to community leaders. Bill will be greatly missed by Saginaw and by the Old Town Church Family.
He is survived by 4 daughters, Kate, Lisa, Sarah, and Becky; 2 stepchildren Jim and Michelle; 9 grandchildren; his mother Gertrude Burns; and several close family members from the Farwell and Lapeer area. He was predeceased by his father William Jr. and his wife Jean.
In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Old Town Christian Outreach Center.
