Obituary of Penny R. Bell
Penny Rose (Emery) Bell of Hemlock, MI, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born April 29, 1948 to parents Beatrice (Wale) Emery and the late Theodore Emery. Penny graduated from Merrill High School in 1966 and later worked at the Yukon Restaurant in Saginaw. She also worked at Modern Metalcraft in Midland and then retired from EATON Manufacturing in Saginaw. Penny had a camera in her hand all of the time and she could produce pictures from any past event you would ask for. She was a very generous person and enjoyed surprising you with a little gift she picked up for you. You could always expect her to bring lots of food to events, especially her famous chocolate truffle and taco bean dip. Surviving besides her mother are a son, Brent Bell, in Fenton, daughter, April Bell in Saginaw, grand-daughter, Harleigh Bell attending U of M in Ann Arbor, grand-daughter Reegan Bell and her mother, Jamie Bell, in Hemlock, and a great-grandson arriving in February. Also surviving are siblings Emory and Patti Emery, Pam (Mike) Miller from Merrill, Danni (Christina) in Florida, and Steven (Tammy) in Tennessee.. Cremation has taken place according to Penny's wishes and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Wheeler Immanuel Lutheran Church with visitation with the family starting at 10:00 am.
