Obituary of Earle "Bob" Haney

Haney, Earle K. "Bob" Fairgrove, MI (formerly of Bay City MI) Earle passed away at home Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born January 31, 1936 in Saginaw Michigan to the late Floyd and Esther (Garwick) Haney. He was a graduate of both Bangor Central and T. L. Handy High School. He Married Janet Van Alst in 1959 and she survives him. He worked at Wenona Beach and retired from G.M. Gray Iron Foundry after 31 years of service. Earle was a member of the Fairgrove Lions, worked for 45 years with the Michigan Bean Festival and with the Fairgrove Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, camping, visiting casinos, spending time with family and with the goats. Left to cherish his memory are Janet, his wife of 58 years; four children, Earle (Pam) Haney of Fairgrove, Toni (Franz) Wilding of Caro, Denise (Brian) Rievert of Sebewaing, Bob (Karen) Haney of Deford; five grandchildren, Julia, Trevor, Michael, Sarah, and Amber; seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Fairgrove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service beginning at 11 AM. A luncheon will follow.
