Obituary of Robert Jon Imker

Robert passed away Friday February 2, 2018, after nearly a decade of courageous battles with cancer and other illnesses that claimed him, he has gone to a wonderful place for a reunion with family and friends where there will be music, socializing, laughter and love. He died peacefully at home surrounded with loved ones at his side. Robert was born in Saginaw, Mi the son of the late Henry and Betty (Magill) Imker. Attended Bridgeport schools, worked in the family business of Building Demolition and Wrecking Co and then in Real Estate in The Bay Area. He had a love for boating, hunting, fishing, cars, breaking then making his own rules, raising hell for nearly 7 decades. Life was never dull, so many memories. Leaves his wife of 51 years Sandra Imker (Martin),his four sons and daughter-in-laws, Robert (Kathy) Imker, Brian (Patty Ecker) Imker, Brent (Mara) Imker, and Bradley (Vanessa) Imker. Also dearly loved ex daughter in law, Kimberly (Duane) Van Paris. Also surviving are grandchildren, Amanda Lyons, Erin Imker, Tyler Imker, Kali Imker, Robbie Imker, Kara Imker, Alexander Imker, Brianna Imker, Wyatt Imker, Samantha (Cody) Peake, Megan Imker, Spencer Imker, Travis Imker and Nathanial Urban, great grandchildren, Owen Lyons (dad Bryan Lyons), Cade Peake, Callie Peake, Caden Imker. He also leaves a special sister and brother in law, Gail (William) Newman , James (Marian) Martin and many special nieces and nephews, and his Tinker. He was pre deceased by his parents Henry and Betty Imker, a sister Judy Cramton and son Shane. Many thanks to Hospice, especially Dr. T. Ahmed and staff, RN Loretta, and Rev Eric Stone of St Lukes United Methodist Church who has been a wonderful support for him. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 206 Scheurmann Street, Essexville, Michigan. Reverend Eric A.
