Naomi June McLachlan passed away on February 3, 2018 in Bay City, Michigan. She was born on July 1, 1933 in Hope, Michigan to the late Robert L & Loneta Bell (Schafer) Joynt. Naomi earned her degree in substance abuse counseling and retired from Bay Haven Behavioral Health. She was passionate about her work in helping people find a new path in life. She was a guardian of her special needs sister and fought hard to ensure that she had the best care and life possible. She loved her cats and considered them as a part of her family. She enjoyed her many friends in the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Regina "Jeannie" (Thomas) Demski of Saginaw; step-daughters, Jacqueline McLachlan of St .Louis, Sandra Draves of Saginaw; sister-in-law, Donna Paynter of Zephyr Hills, FL.; the grandchildren she adored, Christopher G Brown of Saginaw and Kelly (Greg) Geers of Davidson, N.C.; step-grandchildren, Scott (Michelle) Brown of Bay City, Brent Brown of Traverse City, Thomas (Angela) Demski of Chesterfield Twp., and Tara Demski of Midland; great-grandchildren, Nyla, Dashel & Owen Geers; and her step-grandchildren, Kayla Wilson, Jade Brown, Jacob & Ethan Brown, Michael Scott, and Tiffany Demski. She was predeceased by her daughter Janet L. McLachlan, step-daughter, Cynthia A. McLachlan, a sister Hilda Joynt and a brother DeVon Joynt.
Cremation has taken place and the family is planning a graveside Memorial Service for July of 2018.
